Attached & Detached Garages

Garage Wiring

Lights, outlets, a subpanel, an EV charger, or heat for a detached garage — we wire garages so they actually work as a shop or a charging spot, not just a place to park.

What's Involved

Garage Wiring

Garages get asked to do a lot: park cars, charge an EV, run a freezer, house a workbench, or double as a shop. We add the outlets, LED lighting, and dedicated circuits to make that work, and for detached garages we run new service and set a subpanel so you're not stretching one extension cord from the house.

Common garage jobs are EV chargers, 240-volt circuits for tools and heaters, better lighting, and running proper underground service to a detached building. We size it for what you'll actually use it for.

Questions

Garage Wiring FAQ

Can you run power to a detached garage?

Yes. We run new underground service to the garage and set a subpanel, so it has its own circuits instead of one overloaded line from the house.

Can you add an EV charger in my garage?

Yes — that's one of the most common garage jobs we do. We run the dedicated 240V circuit and check that your panel can carry it. See our EV charger page for more.

Can I heat my garage?

We can wire in an electric unit heater on its own circuit. We'll size the circuit to the heater so it runs safely.
