Farm & Agricultural Electrical

Barns, machine sheds, grain equipment, well pumps, and the three-phase behind dairy and shop equipment — farm wiring is a big part of what we do, and we don't blink at a long run out to an outbuilding.

What's Involved

Farm & Agricultural Electrical

Farm electrical is its own animal. It's corrosive environments, long underground runs between buildings, three-phase motors, and equipment that has to keep running whether it's convenient or not. We wire and rewire barns and outbuildings, run new service to shops and machine sheds, hook up grain dryers, augers, fans, and dairy equipment, and put in the generators and transfer switches that keep things going through a storm outage.

Because we're based in Mayville, out in farm country, this is everyday work for us — not something we do once a year. We use the right wiring methods and fittings for damp, dusty, and washdown areas so the work holds up instead of corroding out in a couple of seasons.

Questions

Farm & Agricultural Electrical FAQ

Do you do three-phase for farm equipment?

Yes. Three-phase motors and equipment are common on farms, and we handle the wiring, controls, and service for them — including situations where you've got single-phase service and need a phase converter.

Can you run power to a building that doesn't have any?

Yes — new service to a shed, shop, or barn with an underground or overhead run and a subpanel is a regular job for us. We size it for what you'll actually run out there.

Will the wiring hold up in a barn?

It will if it's done with the right methods and fittings for a damp, dusty, corrosive environment. That's the difference between farm wiring that lasts and wiring that corrodes out — we do it the way that lasts.
