Diagnose & Fix
Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair
Dead outlets, flickering lights, a breaker that won't stay on, or that one circuit that's always been weird — we track down what's actually wrong and fix it, instead of guessing.
What's Involved
Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair
Troubleshooting is detective work. A dead outlet might be a bad device, a loose connection upstream, a tripped GFCI two rooms away, or a wire that's failing inside a wall. We chase it down methodically with the right tools, find the real cause, and fix it — rather than replacing parts and hoping.
A lot of these calls are also safety issues: a breaker that keeps tripping, outlets that feel warm, lights that dim when the furnace kicks on, or a burning smell. Those are worth looking at sooner rather than later, and we'll tell you straight whether it's a quick fix or a sign of something bigger.

Questions
Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair FAQ
My outlet is dead but the breaker isn't tripped. Why?
Could be a tripped GFCI somewhere else on the circuit, a bad outlet, or a loose connection upstream. It's exactly the kind of thing troubleshooting is for — we find which one it is instead of guessing.
Is a warm outlet dangerous?
A warm or discolored outlet, or a burning smell, means a bad connection that can start a fire. Stop using it and have it looked at soon. If it's actively smoking or sparking, that's an emergency — call us.
Why do my lights dim when an appliance turns on?
A little dimming can be normal, but noticeable dimming across the house can point to a loose connection, an overloaded circuit, or a service problem. Worth diagnosing rather than living with.
